One of my favorite thing about the Holidays is that Connie, Sean's mom, makes homemade chocolates!! Growing up, Sean's Grandma would make the chocolates for his WHOLE family. His Grandma is now in her late 90's and ever since Sean and I have been married, Connie has made kept the tradition going by making the chocolates from Grandma. It is quite the project every year. Last night we went over to her house to help with the cherry chocolates. (I don't like the cherry chocolates from the store, but these are AMAZING!) To make these chocolates she had to make the fondant, then it has to be worked so it will turn from a liquid to a cream. This process takes over a half an hour. Once we did this then we can roll the cherry into the fondant. That's where Mari came in! We tried soo hard to have her stay away, but she's 3 and wants to be involved with everything!! Connie was really nice and let her roll some cherrys. Mari didn't do that bad of a job. We were all pretty impressed. Then Connie dips them in the chocolate and then they dry. When they are dry she dips the bottom in the chocolate to let that dry. Mari even participated in that. Once again, not that bad. I really, really wish I had a camera to capture the moment. It was soo cute. Connie had a little apron that Mari wore. When we help again, I will have to bring my camera!
Sean has recently received a calling in our ward. He's the Elder's Quorum Sec. He will be AWESOME with that! As for me, no calling yet...and that's just fine with me. :)

It's the best to be a face in the crowd at church. Sean will be great in the Elder's Quorum though.
Hey heather could you put in a good word for me and get me some of her turtle chocolates? mmmm Connie's chocolates are the best!
